Zusammenfassung
Life Span for a DR3900 and LICO lamp
Antwort
The life span for a lamp is typically rated in hours. For a tungsten (visible) lamp in continuous use, the life span would be approximately 5100 hours.

Unfortunately, this information is only useful for instruments where the lamp is on continuously.

The lamp on the DR3900 and LICO instruments are not on continuously, but are powered on and off for each measurement. The number of times the lamp is powered on and off (the number of measurements) is recorded in the Lamp History menu of the instrument.

The life span for a lamp that is powered on intermittently is difficult to predict as it is dependent on the number and duration of power cycles. The temperature of the filament also affects the in-rush current of the lamp.

As a result, there is no specification for how many measurements the lamp will last. Therefore, there is no specification for the life span of the lamp and there is no recommendation on how often the lamp should be replaced.
