What is the difference between an EPA and ISO TU5 Series instrument?
Zusammenfassung
Difference between the measurement technologies in EPA and ISO versions of the TU5200, TU5300sc, and TU5400sc turbidimeters
Antwort
TU5 Series Instruments, EPA Version
TU5200: LPV442.99.xxx12
TU5300sc/TU5400sc: LXV445.99.xxx12
TU5 Series turbidimeters that are labeled as EPA versions follow EPA Approved Hach Method 10258, which requires 360°x90° Detection™ technology and a laser light source with a wavelength of between 630 and 690nm. The internal optical system is identical to the ISO version instruments with the exception of the wavelength of the laser.

TU5 Series Instruments, ISO Version
TU5200: LPV442.99.xxx22
TU5300sc/TU5400sc: LXV445.99.xxx22
TU5 Series turbidimeters that are labeled as ISO versions follow ISO Method 7027-1:2016*, which allows 360°x90° Detection™ technology and a laser light source with a wavelength of between 830 and 890nm. The internal optical system is identical to the EPA version instruments with the exception of the wavelength of the laser.
