Why do primary standards not read their nominal value during calibration on a laboratory turbidimeter?
Zusammenfassung
Turbidimeter calibration
Antwort
The values read during calibration on a laboratory turbidimeter are intended to be used for standard control and have no impact on the values of the points for the final calibration curve. Each turbidimeter must be calibrated using primary standards before reading standards back for verification. Primary standards read back as verification after calibration should be within the specified tolerance (usually 10%) of the nominal value from the Certificate of Analysis for that standard.
