This is a continuation of the series of articles on " How to properly enter the FLO-DAR calibration information into the FL900 using FLO-WARE." 
  1. Click on the Advanced Settings button.
  2. FLO-DAR-Dar Surcharge Level Settings
    • These settings are related to the Surcharge Level Sensor. 
    • If you have questions about these call Hach Flow Tech Support at 800 368 2723 ext. 6063.
  3. Quality Parameters
    • We recommend that you don't change the NOS and PMR parameters.  These parameters help identify and filter out bad velocity data point.  If you have questions/concerns about them, call Hach Flow Tech Support at 800 368 2723 ext 6063.
  4. NOH
    • NOH stands for Number Of Hits.
    • The UltraSonic Level sensor sends out 200 signals for each sample.  The number that it receives back is called Distance Counts. 
    • If Distance Counts < NOH, the Distance is set to 0, which results in a bad Level Reading.  This also sets the Flow=0.
    • The Default Value=10.  In this case, if there are less than 10 Distance Counts, the Distance is set to zero.
    • Typically Distance Counts are greater than 100.  Sometimes the Distance counts are lower.  To capture Level readings when you are having Distance Counts less than 10 (but greater than 0), you can decrease NOH.
    • NOTE:  Care must be taken when decreasing NOH as it can result in inaccurate Level readings.
