Measuring principle:
DEHA (diethylhydroxylamine) and other reducing agents (carbon hydrazide, hydroquinone, ISO ascorbic acid, methylethyl ketone oxime) reduce iron III to iron II, which forms a purple-coloured complex with the reagent. The purple colour is evaluated photometrically.

Application:
Boiler water

Measuring ranges:
LCW250: 0.05 - 1.0 mg/L DEHA

Special features:
For reasons of quality and safety, only original accessories (LCW906) must be used for the analysis.
The measuring cells must be thoroughly cleaned after each application.

Plausibility check:
Every analysis must always be checked by diluting and/or spiking the sample.

Required equipment:
To evaluate the cell test for reducing agents for boiler water, you will need a HACH photometer, variable pipettes 0.2 - 1.0 ml (BBP078) and 1.0 - 5.0 ml (BBP065), pipette tips 0.2 - 1.0 ml (BBP079) and 1.0 - 5.0 ml (BBP068), round cells with rubber stoppers [13 mm] (LCW906) and filters, if necessary (LCW904, LCW916)
