Can the CL17sc be used to measure TRO or bromine instead of chlorine?
Zusammenfassung
CL17sc used for TRO or bromine analysis
Antwort
If there is a mixture of oxidant in the water and a customer does not want to differentiate between them, then CL17sc with total chlorine reagents can be used.  This setup will measure TRO = total residual oxidant and express the result it in mg/L of Cl2.
If a customer uses bromine specifically, then the CL17sc using total chlorine reagents will measure the bromine quantitatively and report the result in mg/L of Cl2. If they need the results in mg/L of Br2 - they will have to recalculate it using either SCADA, or sc200 controller, calculation menu.
The instrument will not be able to discern between the oxidants in the sample, so a separate measurement of chlorine and bromine cannot be expected.
